With 35 years of dance experience, Sonia Kyriacou is a trailblazer in the dance world. As the visionary founder of San Tropez dance school, she fosters a nurturing environment for dancers to immerse themselves in various styles including Latin Dances, Heels, Lady’s Styling, and Zumba. 

onia’s dedication to spreading the joy and artistry of Latin dance further led to the establishment of the Canadian Salsa Dance organization, where she continues to be a driving force in fostering a vibrant and inclusive dance community.

In addition to her impactful contributions to the dance world, Sonia Kyriacou is a published author. Her book, “Choreograph Your Life: Life Transforming Lessons Learned Through The Art Of Dance,” reflects her profound insights gleaned from over three decades of experience in the dance industry.


Sonia’s training in motivation radiates in her teaching, fostering an environment where students are empowered to break barriers, believe in themselves, and conquer dance challenges.

Moris Alvarenga, the founder of the San Tropez dance school in Montreal, stands as a vibrant representative of Latin dance. His unique combination of choreographic mastery, linguistic finesse, and cultural value distinguishes him as a transformative force in the dance community.

Beyond the dance floor, Moris’s influence extends into a realm where boundaries dissolve, and dancers of diverse backgrounds come together. His choreographies resonate with the rhythms of his Latin heritage, showcasing a deep connection to the expressive movements that define Latin dance forms. Moris’s artistic palette spans across genres, smoothly transitioning from the rhythmic vitality of salsa and bachata to the pulsating energy of cha-cha and Afro-Cuban, revealing his ability to convey captivating stories through dance.

Sonia Kyriacou, inspired by her passion for salsa, has not only deep teaching experience but also remarkable moments in the world of cinema. She shared her knowledge and dance mastery with notable celebrities, including Penelope Cruz and Paul Walker, for the film “Noel.” This achievement not only underscores her professionalism but also demonstrates that her talent captivates even the most well-known personalities.

Our team has also shone on the international stage, participating in the “Match des Etoiles” show. Together with artistic director Sonia and Maurice, our dancers from San Tropez delighted audiences with their mastery and passion for dance.
